The happiness of the righteous is that they have enough, and they know when they have enough. They do not want to be stuffed with more and more. Because their desires are moderate, they are satisfied quickly. Nature is content with a little, and grace is content with even less. Enough is as good as a feast. Those who feed on the bread of life and enjoy the promises find deep satisfaction for the soul there, they eat and are filled.
The misery of the wicked is that their own desires are never satisfied, so they are always in need. Their souls will not be satisfied by the world or the flesh, and even their bodies will lack what they crave. Their appetite is always asking for more. In hell, they will even be denied a drop of water.
