Let it be noted, to the honor of truth, that sacred thing: if truth is spoken, it will stand. Whoever is offended by it, and however angry people may become, truth keeps its ground. Great is the truth, and it will prevail. What is true will always be true. We can trust it, and we do not need to fear being proved wrong or put to shame.
If truth is denied, it will still come out in time. A lying tongue, which gives false colors to things, lasts only for a moment. The lie will be exposed. When a liar is examined, he will often be caught in different stories and found inconsistent, unlike the person who speaks the truth. Once he is discovered in a lie, he does not achieve his purpose, and people no longer trust him. Truth may be hidden for a time, but it will come to light. So those who make a lie their refuge will find that it is only a false refuge.
