auto_stories Bible Guided Commentary

People who plan wrongdoing often figure out ways to fool others so they can carry it out. But in the end, they end up fooling themselves. Those who plot evil under the cover of friendship may imagine all the gain and pleasure they will get from it, but it is all a lie. However cleverly they scheme, deceivers will be deceived.

By contrast, those who seek their neighbors’ good, who think about what makes for peace, and who give peaceful advice, help bring healing and work out ways to restore what is broken, will find both honor and comfort in it. They may also have joy and success beyond what they expected. Blessed are the peacemakers.
