auto_stories Bible Guided Commentary

The head of the righteous is crowned with blessings, with blessings from both God and people. Many kinds of blessings, and plenty of them, come down from above and rest openly on good people. These are real blessings. They are not only spoken over them, but given to them in real life. Blessings are on their heads like a crown, to honor and lift them up, and like a helmet, to guard and protect them.

The mouth of the wicked is covered with violence. Their mouths will be shut in shame because of the violence they have done. They will have nothing to say to excuse themselves (Job 5:16). Their own violent actions will come back on them, and the harm they caused will turn against them.
