Teach me to value steady effort and to be patient with myself when I make mistakes. Guide my words and actions around others. Help me notice someone who feels left out, welcome new friendships, and treat my teachers and classmates with respect. When I feel pressure to fit in, give me courage to choose what is kind and right. Please care for my teachers, my family, and everyone beginning this school year. Help us support one another with patience and grace. Whatever this year brings, remind me that I can turn to You for wisdom and strength, one day at a time. Amen
