Prayer
A prayer for comfort when life feels heavy
When your heart feels heavy, you can come to God without knowing exactly what to say. This prayer for comfort invites you to bring Him your worries, sadness, and need for peace.
A prayer for comfort when life feels heavy
Father, I come to You with a tired heart. You know what has happened and what I am struggling to put into words. Please meet me here with Your mercy. Help me trust that I can bring every feeling to You. When worry fills my thoughts, help me slow down and turn toward You. When sadness feels heavy, give me strength for this moment. I do not know how everything will unfold, but I ask for Your comfort as I take the next step. Remind me of Your care through the kindness of others and the hope of Your Word. Give me courage to tell someone when I need support. Help me receive love without feeling that I must earn it or hide my pain. Please guide me through this day. Teach me to rest when I am weary and to notice small signs of goodness around me. As You comfort me, make my heart gentle toward others who are hurting. I place my needs in Your hands and trust Your faithful love. Amen

A word of encouragement
In 2 Corinthians 1:3, Paul points us toward God as the Father who shows mercy and gives comfort. This does not mean every hard feeling will quickly disappear. It gives us a place to turn while we are still hurting. You can pray honestly, even with tears or very few words. God’s care can also reach you through people who listen and walk beside you. If grief or sadness feels heavy, consider reaching out to your pastor or someone you trust. You do not have to carry it alone.
