About the Baptist Tradition

Baptist churches are known for their commitment to the authority of Scripture, believer's baptism by immersion, and the autonomy of each local congregation. With a heritage stretching back centuries, Baptists have been champions of religious freedom and the priesthood of every believer. Worship styles range widely, but the common thread is a personal, heartfelt relationship with Jesus Christ and an emphasis on sharing the faith with others.
