About the Quaker Tradition

The Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as Quakers, is a tradition rooted in the belief that every person can experience God's presence directly, without the need for clergy or ritual. Quaker meetings may be held in silence, waiting on the Holy Spirit to guide those gathered, or may include programmed worship with music and preaching. Friends are known for their historic commitment to peace, simplicity, equality, and integrity in all areas of life.
