About the Foursquare Church Tradition

The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel is a Pentecostal denomination founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923, built on the four roles of Jesus Christ: Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King. Foursquare churches combine passionate worship with practical community outreach and church planting. The denomination is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and a heart for reaching people who have never experienced a church community.
