The apostle greets an honorable woman and her children (2 John 1:1-3). He urges them to keep faith and love strong (2 John 1:5-6). He also warns them about deceivers (2 John 1:7), and tells them to watch themselves carefully so they do not lose what they have worked for (2 John 1:8). He explains how they should treat anyone who does not bring the teaching of Christ (2 John 1:10-11).
