The events in this chapter come after the opening of the six seals, which warned of great troubles in the world, and before the sounding of the seven trumpets, which gave notice of serious corruption rising in the church. Between these two comes this comforting chapter, which secures the grace and comfort of God’s people in times of public distress.
1. It tells of the restraint placed on the winds (Revelation 7:1-3).
2. It shows the sealing of the servants of God (Revelation 7:4-8).
3. It describes the songs of angels and saints on this occasion (Revelation 7:9-12).
