In this chapter, the apostle continues the call to duties that belong to people in different relationships. He especially explains the duties of children and parents, and of servants and masters (Ephesians 6:1-9).
He then shows Christians how to stand in the spiritual battle against the enemies of their souls. He also points them to several Christian graces, that is, inward qualities given by God, and sets them before them as spiritual armor to protect and strengthen them in the fight (Ephesians 6:10-18).
The chapter ends with the close of the letter. Paul takes leave of the Ephesian believers, asks them to pray for him, and prays for them as well (Ephesians 6:19-24).
